Demographics

As of the 2010 census, the neighborhood had a population of 4,722. The median income for a household in the neighborhood was $37,857, and the median income for a family was $41,667. The per capita income for the neighborhood was $18,097. The racial makeup of the neighborhood was 65.4% White, 21.1% African American, 0.4% Native American, 1.2% Asian, 0.1% Pacific Islander, 8.0% from other races, and 3.9% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 15.3% of the population.

There were 1,933 households out of which 30.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 43.2% were married couples living together, 17.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 33.6% were non-families. 28.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
